Maine Obsolete Auto League
The Moal was organized in 1948 and Incorporated in 1965. Originally it had five regions. They were Seacoast, (Kittery to Portland). Dirigo (Bridgton to Damariscotta), Bunyan (Bangor to Calais) and Aroostock County. The Pleasant Mountain Chapter of Bridgton was the first chapter in the Dirigo area in the early 70's. Many of the original members are still with us today. As far back as the 50's the members would meet weekly at their homes and hold monthly business meetings.
Our membership has changed over the years. Many loyal members have passed on and they will always be remembered.
In the good weather the members enjoy participating in scenic cruises.
In the summer of 2006 cruise nights were organized at the Beef and Ski restaurant in Bridgton.
Our Club's goal is to continue membership growth and to reach out by sharing our good fortune helping others in our community.
As of 2007 the club has committed to sponsor a yearly antique and classic car show. Our plan is to continue sponsoring students involved in the automotive industry to further their education.
If you have the desire to join us and start a new chapter in your life, you can join us by filling out the application with a small yearly fee of $10.00 made out to MOAL, Pleasant Mountain Chapter.
